Well, but maybe the lesson to be learned is for the LENDERS to be more careful about advancing money to people without being sure they can and will pay it back? Why should the CC companies get to be so irresponsible about who they lend to?

Why do we wag our fingers at those who overspend on their credit cards...meanwhile our government thinks it is ok to bail out businesses that have done the same....maybe it is me but I would rather bail out the credit card guy

The only time I've seen any belittling is when a poster is getting ready to declare bankruptcy or they're about to lose their home but they just have to take 1 more WDW vacation.
Irresponsibility is asking for ridicule.

And as far as I know, if one has taken out any cash advances or made any major purchases within a certain time of filing, that amount can not be included in the bankruptcy.
