Banking ??

Okay, I tried to research this first before having to ask but I am still a little confused.

I have 183 points left for 2017, usuage month June. If do not use them this year and bank them by January 31, 2018. When do I have to use them by? May 31st 2019?

I just do not want to bank all of them or some of them by years end and make the mistake and not use them in the correct timeframe.

Yes, the 2017 June UY points if banked would be good for stays from June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019. And you can bank multiple times if you know there are some you won't use but are thinking about a stay for others.

I usually bank either when I need them for a reservation in the next year or else just prior to the banking deadline. That way I keep my options open for "last minute" trips.

Once banked the points have to stay in the 'new' UY, but if a you HAVE to make a trip, you can borrow from the next year.

Just to be clear, you can borrow next years points, 2018, not the ones you may have banked from 2017. And once borrowed, 2018 points, they must stay in the 'current' UY, (June 2017-May2018) and will expire May 31, 2018 if not used.
