banking with a reservation ?

Bear with me here. Lets say I have 160 points that will not be used in the current use year(august) and that I would normally have to bank them in march. I would like to make a reservation for the next use year at my 11 month window in January and would like to use those points. I may wish to change that reservation at my 7 month window if what I want is available. Question... Do I still need to bank those points before the reservation? in march? or will making the reservation automatically bank them. Also, how will the banking(or not banking) affect my ability to change at 7 months?

think you must bank them to use them. So bank them now.

then in Feb you can make your Jan reservation.
you can change your reservation if available - banking or borrowing has no effective on your ability to change reservation.

when you make the reservation - make sure they are using the banked points to make it.

I agree...you will need to bank them and then they will be available for reservations for you during the next use year.

Since you want to make the reservation in January, just bank them at the same time you call to make the reservation. They'll do the banking procedure first, and then book your vacation.
