I'm new to DVC and need a little clarification with banking. We are planning a trip for December 2022 and need 2 years of points for the reservation. My UY is August. Do I bank my 2021 points by 3/31/22? Can I use the 2021 banked points with the upcoming 2022 points to make a reservation for the first or second week in December 2022?. I'm not sure if I understand the banking aspect correctly, but if I bank my points in 2022 I have until July 31, 2023 to use them. Is this correct?

That is what you want to do. A Dec 2022 UY is in your Aug 2022 UY. So, you can used banked 2021, 2022, and borrow up to 50% of 2023 points.

You just want to get those points banked by the time you want to make the reservation for your 11 month window.
