banking points query

Wondering if someone can help me with this query. If I bank some June 2014 points into 2015 use year will they be able to be used to book a stay in Dec 2016 if I book the stay in Jan 2016. Hope this makes sense to you experts

June 2014 points banked into June 2015 will be valid for travel between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016. They won't be available for your intended travel of Dec 2016.

The 11-month reservation window doesn't not have a bearing on Use Year. The travel and the Use Year must align -- but not the timing of when you book the travel.

For a Dec 2016 trip using June UY points you would be able to use banked 2015 points, current 2016 points and borrow 2017 points.

As was mentioned what points can be used are dependent on the date of travel, not when you book.
