Banking deadlines?

Oddly enough I cannot seem to find this information with a quick Google search. It seems maybe this info has changed on banking deadlines since I've seen conflicting info. We just got an accepted offer on a contract with an April use year, 50points for 2016 and 30 points banked from 2015. When would the 50 2016 points need to be banked by? can we just ask the seller to bank these points if the timing will be too close?

Nov 30th is the cut off date. You can ask the seller to bank the points as a condition of the sale. I would do this right away. I'm not sure if you can have them banked after ROFR (or if that would require a second submission to Disney for ROFR).

they can't bank them once the contract goes to ROFR. That should have been done prior to drawing up the contracts to go to ROFR (we did that a few months ago).

With that said, you will likely still be ok to be able to bank the points. It takes just a little under 3 months from submitting for ROFR until you get access to the points. If they can't bank them -- keep on your agent to make sure everything is progressing. Don't want any dead time.

Thanks, we just got an accepted offer yesterday so we aren't in ROFR yet. I will talk to the agent about having them bank their points but if they don't we still should be ok if the cutoff is 11/30.
