Banking clarification?

I have a June UY. Currently have a cruise booked for May, but am thinking about booking DVC as a back up in case the cruise is cancelled. I realize May is the worst time to book with a June UY if we have to cancel. So, I just wanted to clarify, if I book for May now, as long as I cancel before January 31st I can bank those points from the cancelled trip and not lose any, right? I'm hoping by the end of January we will have a better idea if the the cruise is a go or not.

Yes. If you are booked on 2020 UY points those will be bankable as long as you cancel by that date!
