Has anyone banked points and or made reservations via email?

How quickly to they respond/reply to the reservation request and did you feel secure doing it this way?

Do you still end up getting a written confirmation of your reservation?

Also in banking leftover points, should I expect to recieve a confirmation in writing?

Not sure what to expect in either scenario.

I use this method almost exclusively. I can't usually call during bankers hours and it gives me a written record. They do no send written confirmations but will send an email confirmation if you do the transaction by email.

I requested reservations via e-mail Thurs. night and recieved a confirmation e-mail on Mon. morning detailing the entire transaction from used points to borrowed points and what points I have remaining. It also has the confirmation # and they said I would receive a confirmation letter in the mail within 7-10 days.

We have used email to bank points in the past. We heard back from DVC in about 2 days. Their email is your confirmation. It has the transation number.

Hey Patti, I was wondering the same things! You're in my head again! ;) :D

Thanks for the info all!

NOW......I just tried to do this but I headed to the disney.com site........and went into the DVC members area.

Didn't find what I needed which was where to send an email to....

I take it there's a different email address than the dis.com one?

Member services email address is:

dvcms9800@disney.com

This is in your guidebook in the first few pages.

I don't like the lack of security with email transactions and have asked member services (by email) about it have have gotten no answer.

I know doing transactions by email works for some people but I do not like the possibility for mischief should someone decide to make a phone call or email using my member number. I think disney should modify its members site to allow for secure transactions. They should make it possible to transmit your member number with the same protection given to credit card transactions. Currently I feel you are taking too much of a risk. The technology is available. Disney just chooses not to use it.

Thankyou BobH for the address AND your comments about the security! I hadn't thought of that and I still have a few days before I can even make my reservations.........

I may reconsider HOW I make them now! LOL LOL
