Banking and Booking with my U/Y, NEED HELP!

Hi. I have a banking/booking question that I want to make sure I do correctly and know for when I can plan my vacation.

I have SSR September UY.

I do not have any points left for 2013.

I have all my points for 2014 and all my points for 2015.

I would like to combine both 2014 and 2015 points to go on a great vacation in the next couple of years.

When can I bank my 2014 points? Is it by April 30 2014?

When I bank them, that means they will be combined with my 2015 points, is that correct?

After I am allowed and bank my 2014 points with my 2015 points, what is the date I can begin looking at a trip that is 11 months out and I guess the 7 months out would be 4 months after that date.

What I would like to do is go to Hawaii but not sure of what my booking window would be with my banked and regular points.

The only way you do not have any points left for 2013 is if you have borrowed them for use during the 2012 Use Year. Possibly, you mean you do not have any more points in your 2012 Use Year that just started?

Taking your questions at face value, your September, 2014 Use Year points may be banked anytime between 9/1/14 and 4/30/15. They would then be valid for stays between 9/1/15 and 3/31/16 and could be combined with points from your 2015 Use Year for a stay.

I suspect that your questions may be off by one year and that you do actually have all of your 2013 Use Year points available. If that is the case, the above answers are the same but the specific dates may be advanced by one year (4/30/15 would be 4/30/14).

Many will plan for a trip requiring a large number of points by banking points from on Use Year and then using the following years points plus borrowed points from the year following the Use Year of the trip - effectively using 3 years worth of points for a single trip. (There is even a way to use 4 years worth of points for a single trip, but it's not necessary to compound the questions here with that information.)

If you really have already borrowed your 2013 Use Year points for a trip bewteen now and 8/31/2013, then your options are as I already described above.

as long as you have access to pts that will be valid during your stay, you can book 11 months out.

you always start by figuring out what UY you are staying in. if you are planning a trip for july 2015, that is in your sept 2014 UY (sept 1, 2014 to aug 31, 2015). if you are traveling in your 2014 UY, then that tells you that you have access to banked 2013 pts (if any) + current 2014 pts (based on the dates of the stay, not when you call to book) + borrowed 2015 pts (if needed).

(the booking window for july 2015 opens in august 2014 for your home resort. doesn't matter if you are only using borrowed 2015 pts. 11 months = 11 months.)

traveling late in your UY like that can put you in a bad spot if you need to cancel since your banking window for current pts closes on 4/30 as doc said.

I do not have any 2013 points left. I transferred them to another owner since, although we are going in March, need to stay at a regular resort since my ds's HS baseball team is doing Disney's Spring Training and playing games at WWoS. He is a freshman so wanted to stay in the resort with him and not use our DVC. We transfered the points and using the money we got from doing that for our hotel visit, much to my dismay LOL

HHHMMMMM, if we did combine the three years worth of points, can you PLEASE tell me what my travel window could be in using the points? We also own 2 other T/S, one of which is in Orlando so not having the points for a Disney vacation is not so bad since we also have another 3 bedroom T/S at Orange Lake Country Club.
