If I borrow some points (from 2013) to make a 2012 reservation, and later revise that 2012 reservation to a lower point trip (where I wouldn't have needed to borrow), can I use those 2013 borrowed points 'before' I use the 2012 points?
Here's the situation:
I waitlisted a MK View BLT 1-BR for 8 nights in October - 333 points. I have 160 points banked from 2011 to use in my 2012 use year (April) - so 160 (2011) + 160 (2012) = 320. So reservation would require 13 borrowed points from 2013.
But say something comes up a four months out and I want to shorten my trip. Instead, my reservation is 222 points. Can I use 160 points from 2011, 13 from 2013, and 49 from 2012? Can I then bank the 111 leftover 2012 points into 2013 (still five months before the end of my use year)?
I guess my question is an order-of-use one. Meaning do they allow borrowed points to be used before current points? I think the answer is yes, but I wanted to double check with the experts before putting myself on a MK view wait-list.
