Do banked points automatically become the first used when you book a reservation?

For some reason, I think my banked points were not used for a reservation next year. They are definitely in my current use year.

No, I banked them a month ago and then made a reservation on Monday, but then I logged in and noticed next year's use year points were were lower.

If you book on line you select the points you want to use.

You select which contract, but the system still pulls banked points from every contract you select before it pulls current year points from the first contract on the list.

Can you provide some additional details? What’s your use year and when is your trip? Which year’s points did you bank?

They should routinely be used first if they were in the account at the time of the reservation and applicable to the reservation in terms of UY and home resort. If it's in a different UY, at a different home resort or comes into the account later, they won't go back and automatically replace other points.
