I feel like I *should* know the answer to this, but I don’t.
Here is the scenario:
• I have banked points and my UY is March.
• I made Reservation 1 for September of this year back in October, enough to use most of my banked points.
• I made Reservation 2 for May of this year in February.
• I am thinking about canceling or significantly shortening my September trip.
My question is, are my banked points “attached” to Reservation 1, since I made that reservation first, like they would be if I had borrowed points to make that reservation? In other words, if I cancel Reservation 1, would I then need to re-book my May trip in order to use up the banked points? Or, is it that once points are banked, they are lumped in with the current use year points, and it’s just a matter of using that number of (banked) points on any reservation(s) before the end of my UY?
Thanks in advance!
