Band's going to WDW!!!

My band for school is going to WDW next year!! I'm so excited! We have to sell these books to make money, and you get half the sales of each book. The money that you earn goes to your own account for the trip!! I'm so excited!! I'll let you all know more about it when it gets closer. I'm not in marching band b/c it's soccer season and I don't think I could walk real quick on the football field and play and be able to remember where I'm going, and what I'm playing, so (that was a mouthful ) I'm not sure I'll do a good job (there's the pessimist!)

I was thinking that if anyone else is going to be there when I am, I would wear a lime green something. That is the right color right?

A friend of mine went with his band to WDW, and they got a behind the scenes tour. They got to see inside Splash Mountain and Pirates, and where they store all the parade floats.

our dance team goes every 3 years but the band goes different places...like we went to NYC last year(so glad we went....I have pics of the old wonderful skyline)

I doubt you are going the same time as me(March 8th-16th 2002) but if you were that would be cool.

Wow! I know you cant wait!! My band is going next year too I think. We go every other year but since I am just a freshman I didn't go last year. It would be neat if we were all in the same competition.

That's cool that your band gets to go. I hope you have a great time with everyone! Our softball team gets to go to WDW every year and this year we're going from March 22-27. We get to stay at All Star Sports and we play at Wide World of Sports. We also get to go to the parks on some of the days!

I'm in the marching band at my school. And beleive me, it's no where near as hard as it looks. And you don't even have to march in order to be in it. Because you've always got the pit, the percussion section that doesn't go any where. But, I thought that I would screw-up all the time, forget the notes, forget where to go, get off step, stop in the wrong places, you name it. But they go over everything so you get it engraved in your mind. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Actually, it's a lot of fun, if you don't count freezing to the brink of can't-feel-my-body-ness, having to sit at the football games that you get to see for free, and having to deal with a football team that only likes you when they win (cause it's a miracle when they do). Now, that may not apply to everyone, but I live in Maryland, and it's gotten pretty cold out, and our football team isn't exactly known for winning many games, and they really just don't like the band. But then, That's Arundel for ya! But we do have the best music program in the state. Like last year, our Jazz Band was the top 15th High School Jazz Band in the Country! Buuuuut... anyway. Lucky duck! Our band went to Disney world(many years ago...). We're going to Boston this year, and next year, (if Mr. Butts keeps his promise) we're going on a cruise! Well, hope you have fun!

I play the flute. I don't know why though. I think my mom said your playing the flute, but I can't remember. I mean I like playing it, and it's fun, but I wanted to play the trumpet. My mom said that my cheeks would get all nasty (but your not supposed to blow out your cheeks!), and she didn't want to listen to me practice the drums. I couldn't make a sound out of the clarinet, and I don't think I even tried sax. I can play the piano, but that's not like a real instrument.

Hey kiki, my sister is in her school band/flag squad and they r going to Disney in March! She plays the flute too... I'm in the colorguard at my middle school... Does your school have that? Well that's great that u get to go to WDW!!! Have fun!

Well, we have marching band and colorguard kind of together, and I'm in concert band.

does like nothing! I think they went to Disney once or twice, but not while I was
