in percusiion!! i love it! umm i'm in wind esamble which is the highest of the 3 bands at my high school...there is like me nd one other freshman in the WHOLE band...and i do marching band..cuz we have to...nd omgsh r the bass drums heavy!!! lol

we have to do MB too.
i used to play snare, but i messed up my knee and im not suposed to cary it so i had to either be switched to cymabals or dropped.
so now im on cymbals

i wanted to play snare soo bad but yea i'm a freshman so bass was pretty good! that stinks u have to be on cymbals!!! we had like 8915701487 cymbal players! lol

But now that my director knows I'm good at mallets I think I'll be playing quads next season.

Clarinet here. Wow! It's awesome to see so many band geeks. Been in for, uh, three years..... I LURVE it! Most of my friends are there, so the band room is our second home. I love the sense of community in band...

Our band is really small though... I think there's like 100 people in it, counting concert band, symphonic band, and wind ensemble.

If that's small, our band in microscopic; we have around forty-six people, including the color guard, during marching season, and about thirty-eight in concert season. Someone was kind enough to point out that if it wasn't for our band director, more people would join. And I've heard of quite a few people quitting because of our band director. He's a perfectionist, and old fashioned. He doesn't like doing contemporary things.

But I don't think I would quit band for anything. I love it! You make so many friends in the band; I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't agreed to go along with it!

thats cool! there is like 10 guys who all want to play quads...i'm pretty sure i already said i'd much rather play snare!! i am horrrrible at mallets! i'm even worse at timp! i can't tune themm! lol
