Actually tummy problems can be a symptom of a food allergy. Basically, the hives develop in the stomach. My son has a lot of food allergies and has many stomach issues. He also develops hives under the skin that do not come out. Internal hives may be what is happening to you due to an allergy to bananas.
Ohana is great about accomodating for allergies. Actually, 3 out of 4 of my family members have food allergies. The chef came out and spoke to us. Thank goodness, because there were some foods there that had "hidden" ingredients that my son is allergic to. (Isn't there coconut in the bread?) He is allergic to some fruits, but his allergist has recommended staying away from all fruits. So for dessert, he had a GINORMOUS brownie desert. Even though the bread pudding was delicious, I have to admit we were a little jealous of him.
Just make sure to note your allergy on the ADR. It's worth it. Better safe than sorry. I have to remind my husband of this often as he does not like to admit his allergies.
