just trying to fine tune!!! we are going on the 9/21 Magic! we want to go on the banana boat ride at castaway cay, and I also want to try for a massage at serenity bay. the banana boats start at 10:30 and are every half hour. what would be a good time to do that and then schedule a massage???

should we go straight to the adult beach to get beach chairs first, before the banana boat????

thanks!

Ok, haven't done the banana boat thing but here is a thought to consider.

Last time we were on CC I booked an early massage, not a lot of choices and I thought that would be a great way to start the day. Should have thought about 2 things - 1) after a massage my body requires LOTS of water and 2) they use massage oil when doing a massage. DUH!

Both of these things made me a bit more sensitive to the sun and heat. Even with heavy duty sunscreen I ended up with a beaut of a sunburn on my back/shoulders from snorkeling after the massage. And probably went through 4 or 5 bottles of water.

Next time, I'm aiming for later in the afternoon so that my next stop is the ship!

The banana boat rides are slow and not on time. If they aren't full they hang around a bit, waiting for more takers. It was kind of fun though. We didn't make arrangeements before we got there and were able to get a time for 8 of us to go together at 1:45. They had another (blue) banana boat to use when it got busier, but a lot of people made their arrangements right there.

it is not as much of a challenge to get a chair on the adult beach as on the family beach, particularly if you don't mind walking down a ways. Get there within the first 30 to 60 mins. if you want a hammock, but other than that you should have no problems. You may want to go there in the morning and set up your banana boat ride in the afternoon, since it's much closer to where you get back on the ship.

Thanks!

I think we will hold off on booking the banana boat, and just try to get on one when we are there if we want to.
I think a massage at the end of the day sounds good, ofcourse, I hope I can even get a reservation!

I have checked out that castawayclub site already! thanks though, it is a great site!
