i am an Alabama resident and lifelong Alabama fan, so while i have to say ROOOLLLLL TIIIIIDE! i fear that my team's dismal showing on black friday is a sad preview of what's to come.

What a season for the SEC, 10 teams out of 12 going to bowl games. For 2 teams to be undefeated and most of the rest of the league with winning records, that says enough about the best conference in football.

In this weekend's National Championship Game, I'll root for Alabama.

Best conference? I think not. SEC fans are the most linear fans in the world. They fail to ever see outside the box. Most of your teams got to 6 wins by beating the likes of the Sun Belt and C-USA. SEC teams rarely leave the Southeast and beat up on cupcakes. Usually they will play one BCS team who will almost never be ranked.
How many teams are ranked in each conference?
SEC-3
ACC-3
Pac 10-5
Big 10-3
Big 12-3
Big East-3
C-USA-1
Mtn West-3
WAC-1

The Pac-10 has been noted by many experts as the best conference top to bottom AND they play every team in conference, that is 9 conference games versus 8 for you guys which gives 5 Pac-10 teams an extra conference loss. Pac 10 still had 7 of our 10 teams bowl eligible.

But, SEC fans will always claim their conference as superior, even though you rarely play anyone out of conference (Georgia/Tennessee excluded). Let's see how you guys do bowl season when you end up 3-7 or something.

Now I am not saying that two of the best teams aren't from the SEC but if you take the top 5 teams of any conference against the top 5 of the SEC, I will take the other conference every time. I mean, the #2 team in the SEC West (Tenn.) lost to the #8 team in the Pac 10 (UCLA)

I'm a Notre Dame fan, so I just do a lot of sitting around and sobbing...

That said, 'Bama - Florida should be a GREAT game! I'm looking forward to it. I think it'll be tight, but I believe Tebow will outdo Ingram by just enough for Florida to win.

Though I am a Tebow fan that cheered for Florida Saturday, I will be cheering for Alabama in the championship game.
