Baltimore Hotels?

DD is competing at Baltimore's Inner Harbor this spring. Inner Harbor hotels are close to $200 per night + parking! Can anyone recommend some less expensive hotels in the area? Using Metro is an option however, we may need to be at the convention center very EARLY in the morning so a quick commute would be best.

You can stay at a hotel near BWI and catch the light rail (or drive) to the Inner Harbor. The Sheraton BWI (not the Four Points) and the Westin are both beautiful - though I 'm a bit biased....my June wedding was at the Sheraton.

You can always try Priceline. I used it for a weekend away for DH and DS a few years ago and they got the Hyatt which is across from the Inner Harbor.

Be careful of getting too far away from the Inner Harbor. Baltimore is a fabulous city but it's not the safest nor is it always walking friendly because the neighborhoods change so quickly. Try the Hampton Inn (not the one right across the street from Camden Yards) ...I think it's on Redwood Street and it's two blocks from the Inner Harbor (a safe walk!)

Try using priceline name your own price i have gotten 3 and 4 star hotels at the inner harbor for 75 a night regular 200. Also the hilton garden inn inner harbor is nice and has a full kitchen

Check Hotwire, then research on betterbidding.com to figure out what hotel it might be. I pulled it up for mid-March in Inner harbor and there were a couple of 3-star hotels for less than $100 and a 3 1/2 star for low 100's.
