Balloons

We will be celebrating DS's 4th birthday while on our Disney vacation. I was thinking of things I could do to add some magic to the day, and thought of having balloons in the room when he wakes that morning.

Do they sell balloons that are not the fancy (expensive) Mickey balloons that last a long time? I do love those, and might get one, but we're flying so taking it home probably isn't going to work (or will it? No experience here!).

My thought is that I could somehow sneak some balloons from DTD if they have them (or maybe the POR gift shop has them, that would be easier.) to our resort while DS is being otherwise occupied.

If I bring my own un-inflated balloons from home, would the resort inflate them with helium for me? I saw a 5 year old thread saying they would, but things change...

I do know about the Disney floral & gift service, so I'll keep that in my back pocket if this doesn't work out.

Anyways, can anyone share their experiences with me? Thanks!

I don't recall seeing balloons in the POR gift shop when we were over there last time and I know the POFQ gift shop didn't have any for sure.
If DTD has them, I think that would be your best bet. As it would probably be cheaper than the Disney floral service. Their balloons can be a little pricey.
What about getting your little one out of the room for a bit and hanging streamers and a happy birthday sign? You could also blow up a few balloons on your own without helium and just have them laying around the room.
