Balcony Sizes at Resorts

Hello

We recently stayed at OKW and absolutely loved it.

The only real concern we had is that we like studios to conserve points and found the OKW balcony a little too small.

We were on the first floor at the end and wonder if all the balconies in studios are this small?

Does anyone know if the other DVC properties have regular size balconies?

The OKW studio balconies are probably larger than studios at any of the other resorts except HH. Most will be about 4-5 feet deep maximum.

Most will have just enough room for a couple of small chairs - none are very spacious. The balconies at OKW for the other villas are quite large with four chairs and a table large enough to eat on. They will also have an overhead fan.

I agree with Doc. While the OKW studio balcony is smallish, it was just about the same as our BWV studio balcony. The difference was that BWV seemed less deep and slightly longer, while OKW was deeper and a little shorter. I didn't do any measurements, but pretty much not more than two people could fit comfortably at one time on either. Both these studios contained two chairs that pretty much take up the entire area.

I've only stayed in a studio once at OKW (that was enough), and I guess I didn't even go out onto the balcony. We stayed in an SSR studio last year for a weekend, and I thought the balcony there was a bit small to really use either. Those huge balconies in the 1,2, and 3 bedroom villas at OKW make up for it though!

The balconies at BCV vary quite a bit. We recently were in a 2 BR lockoff and the studio portion of it had a humongous balcony....my DH estimates it at 300 sq ft! I think he might be off a bit but it really was huge. If you look at BCV pictures it was one of those irregular shaped ones. Few rooms have such large balconies though.

But most that we've had at BCV are larger than those in studios at OKW. But like BWV, most of the BCV balconies are narrow but often longer.

Some of the balconies at BWV also seem smaller because they are boxed in and only allow you to look out just a center area. The are pretty private but seem smaller. Two chairs and a very small table(18" x 18") more like a foot stool.

OKW by far as the largest balconies when it comes to the 1 bedroom and larger rooms. large table with 4 chairs. (I have not stayed at BCV though until one week from today) so I really can not say much about them.

And the nice thing about OKW 1BR and up is that you know you will have that large balcony. I do believe they all are that size, aren't they?

Even the really large balconies at BCV only have chairs and a little chairside table. And most of the larger ones are long but narrow. That one we had was one of a few really spacious ones.
