balcony question

i am asking this for a friend of mine, hope someone can help,
if you book in the Poly or any hotel that have balconies, when you ask for a balcony room is it by request only or do they gaurentee you a room w/a balcony?

It's a request. They say they'll try to accomodate requests, but will not guarantee them.

she actually just called disney, apparently she booked the THEME PARK VIEW ROOMS, disney told her all THEME PARK VIEW ROOMS come with a balcony, so she is releived, thank you!!!!!!!!!!
