I read that a good place to watch Illuminations is on the balcony at the Conceirge Lounge in BWV. We are hoping to stay there in March, 2013 but as we can't book until August I have no idea if we will be able to get a boardwalk view room or not. Is this balcony only for concierge level guests? I read it in the blurb describing the BWV resort on the DVC site.
Also, what boardwalk view rooms are able to see Illuminations? Are there preferred or garden rooms that can view Illuminations from balcony? Thanks!

think it is on the BWI side - not BWV - yes the concierge balcony would be only for concierge guests - otherwise why pay the extra money.

to see the fireworks from BWV you need a preferred BW view - at BWV assuming you are talking points instead of cash - BW, garden, water - are all the same amount of points.

think the standard view is still more popular to DVC members than the preferred view even of the BW - so you might get lucky.

Boardwalk Villas do not have concierge. Do you remember where you saw it on the DVC site? I can't think of anywhere there's a public balcony. There is a private room called "The Attic" that can be reserved for private parties.

The BW View villas are usually the first to go at 11 months out. Along with the Standard view villas at BWV.

The BWInn is a completely separate section of the BW Resort. The villas are on one side, the inn on the other. The villas are the DVC timeshare with some available for cash reservations and the inn is available to book for cash and not DVC points.

I read it on the above tool bar "resorts" but I see now that it is boardwalk inn not the villas. Once you find the inn, Click on "rooms" and scroll down to the second "tip". It suggests that balcony as a good viewing spot for illuminations.
