Me, my 2 girls and my mother are making a "girls only" trip the end of May. We will be staying at WL for the first time and we're VERY excited!! ( My dh and boys are a bit jealous) I have read conflicting reports that all the rooms have balconies. We are in a standard view room. Could someone tell me about those rooms? Do they all have balconies? Are there standard view rooms close to the pool? Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've stayed at WL a few times (in a standard view) and I have always had a balcony. I think there are different kinds of balconies (solid or something else...can someone else help?) but I am pretty sure they all have something. My standard view room has generally looked over the service area parking lot, but you could see trees in the distance.

As for the pool, nothing seems like it was that far of a walk to the pool. Unless I was going completely out of my way, everytime I went to the pool I used the main elevator and had to walk through the lobby (which would make the walk virtually the same for everyone). Is there another way out?

Here is a map of the WL.

The Standard rooms are where you see the numbers 3 and 4 and look out to the sides of the resort. MOst of these appear to have a smaller balconey of concrete and iron railing.
These are not near the pool but are not that much farther than other kinds of rooms either.

Hey noabeliv!

We've stayed in standard rooms at WL three times, cause we ask for a view of the MK fireworks. Unfortunately, the trees are getting higher and higher, and there's only one room left where you can actually see the castle anymore (very tiny). And with the way the fireworks have been cut back to only weekends or whatever, chances are you will be in the park to see them anyway.

As for the distance to the pool -- really, just make sure you are near an elevator, and bing, bang, boom, you are down by the pool in no time. Compared to some of the other huge resorts (notably YC/BC), it's not a hundred mile trek to your room, no matter where you are located.:p

As mentioned by the other posters, there are balconies on all the standard rooms. The ones we have had were always solid concrete.

Hope this helps! Have a great time
