My son's birthday is coming up. I let him pick the kinds of cake he gets each year. Well, this year, he wants a Bakugan cake!! They don't have any pans out there, so I am on my own, and I am not very creative!! I am wondering if anyone has made a bakugan cake. If so, any tips or pics would be appreciated!!

Thanks so much!

I don't know about making one, but I know our local Shop Rite will put any pictures you want on the cake. You could print one out online.

Try bakerycrafts.com. It looks like they have an edible image, rings, and one of those 3-D type plastic things you can put on top.

Good luck and happy birthday to your son!

Hello,

I do not know if this is something you would like but if your Walmart has a bakery department they sell the kits for cakes, that have the plastic decorations they use on their cakes for about $5, my sister got one this weekend that is a drivers license, street signs and a police officer for my nephews 16th birthday.

What I do in situations where you can't find the pan and don't want to dish out the money for a bakery is this:

Make a regular cake. Whatever size you want is up to you but I just do a 13 by 9 cake pan.

Then I ice it how I want and add figures to it myself. For instance, for my son we did dinosaurs we found at the craft store. I will probably buy Bakugan at walmart for my son this year and put them on his cake. that way he feels that there is something "extra" to the cake. I would rather spend the money on them that way because the ones from the bakery are usually cheap and not really all that fun to play with after.

I dont worry about what it looks like to much because it will get eaten anyway(I am not much of a baker or decorator)

My son also wanted a bakugan cake for his birthday. I went to Walmart and bought a 3 pack of bakugan, took them to their bake shop, and asked them to decorate the cake using the bakugan. They used an air sprayer, and sprayed 3 different places on top of the cake to put the opened bakugan on.(I asked them to make sure the balls were open). They matched the colors of the balls to decorate the cake. It came out looking pretty cool and DS was thrilled with his bakugan cake. He was also happy that he got 3 new bakugans!

My son also wanted a bakugan cake for his birthday. I found an edible bakugan cake topper on ebay for around $10 and I made the cake myself. You just peel the topper off of the backing and place it on a white frosted cake. The hardest part was getting the paper backing off without tearing the image. It wasn't perfect, but my son loved it!
