Starting a new home bakery for cheesecakes and am stuck on name ideas. I love all things Disney so am trying to find ideas on a witty Disney name for a bakery. We have a Mad Batter Bakery in our area and I just love the play on words. Thanks!

It's a long name, but how about "A Spoon Full of Sugar Bakery"? There's always the obvious "Be Our Guest Bakery". With both, you'd have to research copyrights. Though, I suspect the same would be true for the Mad Hatter Bakery. If you don't become famous, it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Those are actually great names! We are big Beauty and the Beast fans as well. Definitely won't be famous as this is just a hobby bakery but I do have to register the name. Thank you!

You can sell cheesecake out of your home based baking business? Lucky! We can't do that here in CA in Orange County. We can't sell anything that requires refrigeration or is custard based, like cheesecakes. My son has a home baking cookie business and I'd love to see key lime pies and cheesecakes, but alas, it's not permitted here.

I thought of another one. Since you're only selling cheesecakes, "Cheshire's Cheesecakes", but I'm not sure what the Mad Hatter bakery would think about that.
Thank you for this great idea! I'm looking into the copyright laws with Disney if I use a character name or phrase. I'm hoping it works out. You've given me amazing names for a bakery.

*Enchanted Delights - movie Enchanted
*Bonjour Bakeshop - movie Beauty and The Beast
*Little Chef Bakeshop - movie Ratatouille
*Bake Necessities - movie The Jungle Book
*Tbsp of Sugar - movie Mary Poppins
I really like Enchanted Delights and Bake Necessities. Thank you!

I love Mad Batter but it's already taken in my area by a bakery. Unfortunately, living 1.5 hours from Disney World means there are quite a bit of businesses with Disney like names.

As a former marketing person, my advice would be to avoid a name that might limit future expansion. If you someday decide to add items other than cheesecake, you'll want a name that still fits. If I'm looking for a pie, for example, I might scroll right past a bakery that has "cheesecake" in the name. Just my 2 cents!

If a home bakery and not a storefront I am not clear on how you plan to distribute your products. Something like cheesecake that is a baked custard will need to be refrigerated/frozen if you plan to ship. That type of packaging & shipping could cost as much or more then the actual product. As someone else also mentioned, you also need to check local laws relating to making/selling food products from home.
