Bakery in DTD ~ Do they make Bday cakes?

I know people have talked about the bakery in DTD. Do they make birthday cake? I am trying to figure out where to get a good cake for my DD who are celebrating her bday while we are there. There will be 8 of us. So, we won't need too big of a cake.

What is the name of the bakery?

Have you ever ordered a cake from them?

when I checked, no they did not have birthday cakes.

Probably your best bet is to make priority seating at a restalurant either within the park or at some place like Goofy's Kitchen, and then have them bring out the cake with a candle. We took my daughter to Goofy's Kitchen for her birthday, and I called ahead and they made a very big fuss over her--singing to her and bringing out her cake. She loved it.

The bakery in DTD is more of a morning baked goods place.

If you are staying onsite, call Vacation Planning to have them put you in touch with the cake people.

If you just want a cake, perhaps for a little room celebration, honestly I'd call Vons and have them make one! They are the same store as Safeway, and although they don't have lots that my particular family can eat (we have to avoid anything with "corn syrup" in the name, and food dyes too), they do have good tasting things that are nowhere near as expensive as you would buy from Disney. You'd need a car, though, to get there to pick it up.

We saw a bakery in DTD called La Brea Bakery, we bought lunch there on our last day. It didn't quite look like a place that had bday cakes, but you could try calling them.

I am trying to remember, but I think I ordered a cake years ago for my daughter and we had a party at the Plaza Inn. The cake was VERY Good.. There were about 12 of us there for a party.
I just googled disneyland cakes and this is what it came up with. This talks about small cakes, but I know we got a big cake and we cut it and shared it with everyone.. Good luck

I called disney dinning and ordered a cake. I went to the page they recommened
picked out a cake and ordered it.

I thought I remember people talking about another bakery in DTD, not La Brea, that made what they make in the parks. Am I crazy? I have done a search but can seem to narrow it down.
