Bakers and cooks! Caramel Popcorn?

I found this recipe. Does anyone know if it would work without the nuts?

You can leave out the nuts. I've made this one - http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/My-Amish-Friends-Caramel-Corn/Detail.aspx - and it looks like it has the same ingredients, just in different proportions.
