Hi. I love to cook just about everything but I am just not a dessert person. There was a 19 year old local boy who has been paralyzed in an accident and there is a fundraiser/ rummage sale/ bake sale to help his family. What sells best now adays at bake sales? Individually wrapped cookies or brownies? Muffins? Or pies or cakes? Any advice would be appreciated.

I will always buy homemade chocolate chip cookies and my kids always go for the brownies. My dad opts for banana bread.

Good Luck! It sounds like a great thing you are doing.:goodvibes

I second the cookies from cake mix thread - unbelievably easy AND tasty! Good luck with the sale:thumbsup2

Individually wrapped rice krispie treats are nice for parents to buy while they're looking at the rummage treasures.

Hi. I love to cook just about everything but I am just not a dessert person.

At the last one I attended, some had brought homemade salsa, homemade jams and jellies. They were all snatched up quickly.

Do you have a speciality or special recipe? One friend did the spices for her tortilla soup-in a baggie- with her recipe on it. She makes an awesome soup and is often asked for her recipe.

Fudge- 4 small pieces to a bag were gone fast, with people asking for more throughout the day.

Hope all goes well for the young man and his family
