Bahamian Liquor

So, what liquor "manufactured in the Bahamas" is worth using my customs allowance on?

They have some great rums, especially the mango...wow. The local stuff is sold in many stores..but look for the one that is a little larger and they have tons of things for you to taste before you buy. They also package them up great for travel.

And if you have any other favorite liqors..you may want to pick them up. We found some great bargains.

Anyone know the closest store to the port? We did not plan to go into Naussa (been there done that), but might want to jump off to get some liquor - if it's not too far from where the ship docks. Thanks!

My husband fell in love with Nassau Royale -- a rum liquer (think a thick, sweet rum). It's almost worth the price of the cruise alone.

This liquor is made by Bacardi and only available at the Bacardi Factory in Puerto Rico and in the Bahamas! You have to try it poured over Vanilla Ice cream!

The big store I was referring to is very close to ship. Hubby just reminded me..lol. Go to the strawmarket, around the end and take a left, it will be down the road just a bit. He said, almost even with the ship as you walk. So not far at all. I knew we didn't walk far with all the alcohol..lol. It is the nicest/largest store we saw. Great people.
