Bahamas Health Visa

I realized today that the Bahamas requires passengers have a Health Visa prior to entry. I haven't started the process quite yet as my cruise isn't until Feb 2022.

It says costs depends on how many days. Has anyone gone through this at all to see the approx. pricing?


Also do you guys think it'll be required for Castaway Cay? Our cruise is going to Nassau and then Castaway Cay I'm assuming yes for Nassau but my family isn't planning to get off the boat (other people in our party are)

Trying to comb through it all without creating a profile. [I'm fully vaccinated and everything I just didn't want to create a profile quite yet since my cruise is so far out but I want to make sure we are budgetting for the cost]

I'm not sure what the proper rules are, but IIRC some of the airlines were interpreting it as being within the 120 hour period before arrival. That could have just been the easiest way to tie into their existing computer systems though.
For the antibody test I think it was calendar date + 5.
If you may have to cut it quite fine then I think it might be worth you calling them rather than relying on us random internet people.

For us it looks like we don't need the antibody test I don't believe because we are all vaccinated. My biggest question was really has anyone clicked through to see the pricing because the FAQ and such is all very vague to the pricing. I just want to make sure we are budgetting for it because there are 15 people in our party.

Then I wasn't sure if Castaway Cay was included in the requirement or not but I figure Disney will probably put something on the website if so closer to when cruises start happening

It is $40 for visits to to 4 nights/ 5 days and $60 for longer visits. Children 10 and under are free

I just got back from the Adventure of the Seas in Nassau. For the 7 night cruise, it cost 40 USD per adult applicant. I don't have any kids so I'm not quite sure what cost they add.

Ah good point, I completely forgot about some of the staff being local. I know its all speculation but I wonder how long they'll continue the requirement. I definitely don't want us to spend an extra $400 and they drop the requirement (everyone in my party over age 10) but then I also don't want to wait until the last moment either and not have it done in time.

I wouldn't worry about it too much at the moment but my fingers are crossed for you! It's only when you add a trip that you have to pay. You can sign up for the Bahamas Health Visa account for free. I couldn't add a trip until I was two weeks away from arrival and a lot can change between now and two weeks before your trip.

Okay cool, I'll keep my eyes peeled because most of the people in my party are planning on getting off in Nassau, then all of us for Castaway Cay so I'm going to keep an eye out and just save the money now for it anyways. Worst case we will have $400 extra in spending money lol

If it is required for CC, it will be included in the taxes and fees that DCL charges - and DCL will take care of it.

If you are flying into the Bahamas, you will have to arrange it yourself, including paying for it. This includes sailing on the Adventure of the Seas since the cruise line doesn't have you on board until after you are in Nassau.

We are debating taking that cruise since everything else before September is slowly being removed for one reason or another. I know the Adventure had a lot of flash added to the common areas and the amenities, but I think they didn't touch the staterooms. How would you compare those staterooms to, say, the Dream's or Magic's? For instance, do they look dated?
