Has anyone stayed here:goodvibes ? It seems to be getting good reviews on Tripadvisor.

We wanted to stay at Cypress Pointe but it isn't available (on hotel kingdom) during our dates. We would like atleast a 2 bedroom, full kitchen and nice pools for the kids (kiddie pool). Doesn't seem like alot to ask for the number of condos/resorts in Orlando but we have to keep our price below $130.00 a night :) .

We are looking at going the first week in July, which is also a problem as the prices are higher that week. :wizard:

Yes, quite a few people from the DIS have stayed there, and I have seen some pretty BAD reviews, in fact, I am not sure I've seen a good review for it yet! Go check the reviews board... I'd be very nervous about staying in this resort (actually I wouldn't).

There are certainly plenty of other resorts in the area that get nothing but great / good reviews, Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Emerald Island, Indian Creek, and they're a LOT closer than Bahama Bay is!

I guess my thought would be...why take the chance?

Thanks for the info. I will check out the other options :goodvibes

BB is a very nice resort and does have good reviews. Sure there may be one or two bad ones around but then there will be - for every place -as everybody has different standards and needsOne person awful is another ones not that bad or even perfectly fine. .Even private rental homes and communities get their share of niggles - from bad pools to break ins - so if you like the look of a place -it suits your budget and offers what you want then maybe read the reviews with an open mind .

I was one to gave it a bad review (at some length!) - unfortunately, the search tool is not working for me or I'd give you the link to it. In short, our room was not very clean (not to be too graphic, but there was dried vomit on the carpet in the master bedroom from one of the previous occupants) along with other more minor issues. They would not move us to a new room (this was in Jan. 2007 - the place was empty), attempted to clean it (not a very good attempt) and then charged us $50 for the cleaning (which they did eventually reimburse us for)! I would obviously not stay there again. I agree with 5mins2disney, there are a lot of places closer that consistently get good reviews, you may want to try one of those.

Be careful if you are trying to book BB through the travelzoo/book-it link. I'm currently waiting for a full refund from my cancelled booking due to the lack of disclosure on a $50. cleaning fee if your stay is less than 5 nights.
