Bags and Sunglasses

Since I will be kids free on my next trip, I want to carry as little as possible.

I have this pouch that I clip to my pants. Its 7" x 5" and about an inch or less thick. Its just a little too big to fit in any of my pockets. I might be able to put it in a sweatshirt pocket, but it would stick out a little.

Will I need to go through bag check?

Since my sunglasses don't fit in my pouch, what can I do with them on rollercoasters? Do coasters in Disney have pouches in the seats? I can generally wear them on my head when I'm not outside, but I don't want them to fly off during fast rides.

You might have to go through bag check they are really cracking down on all bags being checked.

Yes, all roller coaster have places for you to put your things.

You'll need to go through bag check. It's really not a big deal. Often, if you have no bags, you still have to go through a metal detector (and empty all your pockets), so you're not saving a lot of time anyway.

Get a lanyard for your sunglasses and just tighten them around your neck if you need to.

You'll be fine on a coaster- there's always either a place to put your stuff, or a place to set your stuff down while you ride. I rode California Screamin' four or five times in a row on Dapper Day, when I was carrying a parasol as part of my outfit. A CM held my parasol during our every ride on CS. When we rode the Matterhorn later that day, I kept my parasol tucked in next to my legs. So, there's always a place to store things with Disney rides. They expect families to come carrying gear.

Part of the annoyance of bag check is that the clips are not easy to get on and off. I guess I'll just carry it until after bag check and then clip it on for the day.

My issue with stowing my glasses was that they are small. I've always had a bag with me and would just stick it between my legs or wrap a strap around my foot. But if there is a pouch or something, I'd be fine.

I would carry a smallish bag. Because now you have a difficult-to-clip/unclip pouch that you have to go through bagcheck for anyway (and i verify that...Dh had a phone case pouch on his belt that they saw and wanted him to go through bag check for), and you’re going to have to remember to retrieve your sunglasses from a pouch after every ride (how many of us have found lost items in those pouches, I know I have!).

Just bring a nice little cross body bag and be done with it.

I second the lanyard. I use Cablz, and they are super light--you can hardly see or feel them. If you stick those glasses anywhere, I'd say odds are good you'll leave them at some point.
