I just found a baggallini messenger bag at my local Marshall's for $14.99, thanks to the heads up from another member. It is the wrinkled fabric and a pink/peach color, that is the issue. Although I like the color I was wanting to find one that my hubby would also carry on our Disney trip in Dec. That will not happen with a pink one. Has anyone ever used rit fabric dye on one? If so how well does it work/take, will there be any risk if it coming off on our clothes. I have dyed cotton with rit and it works well, just never used it on this nylon type fabric. Thanks in advance.

I have no idea, but in some of our malls here they have those booth where they do tshirts, and car tags, they kind of spray paint them..... Maybe something like that could "spice it up" enough to look like a guy?

Nylon will take an acid dye - you can even use koolaid which is more accessible and more fun! If it's already pink - you might try picking up a green one and making it more of a brown... It might take some experimentation though.

You would heat on the stove the koolaid mix (without sugar) and vinegar, then put in the bag and stir it up, but don't boil. The color will take to the Nylon fibers. Let it cool and rinse/wash!

Just want to say ditto on there is no way my dh would carry it no matter the color. Mine is even UT colors (burtn orange) and he won't touch it.
