Baggage size problems on JetBlue?

2 of my bags have a combined dimension that is an 1-3 inches above the 62 inch limit.

Has anyone had to pay oversize baggage fees for a bag that is just a bit above the max size?

I've not yet had trouble in SW, but haven't flown JetBlue much, and am wondering how picky they'll be.

Is it worth buying new bags?

Don't know about the size, but they do enforce the 50 lb weight limit.

I bought DW a nice set of hard sided luggage for our last trip and it plainly said on the box it had a carry on sized case an a checked sized case. Got it home and we opened it up and the larger case was HUGE. Next to my standard Heys 26 inch bag it was massive, so I measured it, way over the legal size for any airline we fly on. I googled that particular case and all that came up were people complaining about being charged for oversized luggage. So, yeah, the airlines do enforce it. Personally, I wouldn't chance it, and I'd suggest using a luggage scale, too, to watch that weight limit. You don't want to end up like us on our first trip to WDW and have to repack in the terminal to get our bags "legal" so United wouldn't hit us with a $100 overweight bag fee!

When is a "bit over" ok and a "bit over" too big?
If its over it will not be allowed.
