usually when you go on a ride they have compartments where you can put your items but if its a fast and kind of bumpy ride they is storage at the ride where you can leave your stuff and they watch it for you

Don't know of any ride or attraction in Disney World that will watch your bag for you. You take your bag on with you. If it's too big to go on a ride with you then it's probably just too big. If you have a stroller you can leave it with the stroller. I've taken my camera/bag (small one) on ALL of the rides including RNRC and SM.
I usually just carry my small purse that I wear across my body it holds my essentials park tickets, money, cell phone, tissues, camera and I keep it on while I'm on the rides. If we take a slightly bigger bag with ponchos, water and few other things I either put on my lap the seat next to me if theres room or the floor between my legs or if there is a place on the ride I put it in there. There is? I didn't know this! What rides have this?
My bag is always too small due to feeling the pressure of having to keep the bag with me on rides. So this may be useful.
Most rides have enough room for you to place a bag (purse or backpack) on the floor in front of you. When our kids were in a stroller, we would just leave our backpack in the stroller (we took wallets, money, credit cards, etc. with us in a smaller bag or purse). Now that our kids no longer need strollers, we have to take our bags with us, and we have had no problem finding a place for them on any of the rides. Don't worry...you will have room!
The only ride, that I know of, that has any sort of cubby is Kali River Rapids, and those are right inside tne raft with you.
I wear a Vera Bradley Hipster or Saddle Up, which are both cross body bags, and I wore both of them on all the rides. WDW isn't like other theme parks, most won't let you ride with you bags, Disney does, so bags aren't an issue.
If it's a ride with just a lap bar I just keep the bag on. The only time I take the bag off are for the thrill rides. As long as you're not carrying the kitchen sink bag you'll be fine.
