Bag Worms - How to Kill 'Em????

Our cedar deodara is covered in bag worms!! Our wonderful tree is turning brown. It has been slowly declining and we thought these bags were cocoons!!!

I think we need to remove all the bags and then what?? Spray our tree with some sort of insecticide??? Anybody know??

You have to kill bag worms right away or it will be too late. It's best to call a landscape service and have them come out, but find a reputable one that will tell you if it's too late. I've always heard that you have to spray them within about 4 days. The spray they use is very effective, but you have to get to them in time.
