bag for Disney

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for some sort of bag to take on our trip. I want something with compartments so small things can be found quick (room keys, credit card, money) but something big enough to hold (diapers, sunscreen change of clothes for 2 year old). Also I want it so I can hang it on a stroller. Any suggestions? I dont want to pay too much for it though.

I used a Vera Bradley Large backpack when we took DS(17mo at the time) this past spring. It worked out perfect. The front pocket held DS snacks and a few other small items. One side pocket held DS sippy cup, the other side pocket(zips closed) held hand sanitizer and our room cards. The rear zip pocket held wet ones and clorox wipes - among some other "papers". I plan to use this bag for all future "day-long" excursions

I have the larger one. The front pouch zips opens and has slots for cards, a small zippered compartment, and a clip on an elastic string for keys (I used it for a pacifier). The mesh pocket on the side is good for a sippy cup, bottle of water or sunscreen. The other side has two compartments that are really handy for a phone and small bottles like tylenol or hand sanitizer. There is a large pocket on the back that velcros shut that is great for park maps and paper things. The inside has a zipper compartment and a few large mesh pockets. The strap is adjustable and can hang on the back of a stroller. I found it had just the right amount of pockets and compartments: not too many that I was searching through everything but enough to organize.

I also have the ever popular Baggallini Messenger bag and liked using that too. Most days I would pack the LL Bean bag to stay with the stroller (no valubles or anything irreplacable, obviously) and pack the Baggallini to stay with me and take on the rides. The LL Bean bag would be just fine on it's own though.

My kids are 2 and 5, if that helps any.

Check out the Pescara Pannier Bag at Carryyou.com. You can get 2 to hang off both sides of the stroller. This was my favorite thing that I had at Disney- I have a bad back & hate to carry stuff. And the major plus factor- it folds down with the stroller and you can store yours & kids drinks. Thats 4 cupholders in the hot florida sun!

This may not work for you, but we actually used 2 bags. One little purse like bag for essentials like room keys, money, ID, etc. The strap was very long and I was able to put it over my one shoulder and through the opposite arm. The other bag was more of a traditional diaper bag that we left under the stroller with the extra clothes, washclothes in a ziplock bag, wipes, you name it. The reason is so many times you have to park your stroller and I got sick of lugging the diaper bag around. I never put anything of real value in it so I wasn't so concerned about it being taken. It was always fine. DH had a light backpack for the cameras and his personal items. During our midday break I would change the bags around, but I rarely had to touch my little purse. The cool thing about the little purse was I bought it at EPCOT back in 1992 in Morocco.

kltruck- that is a cool website! I needed a snack tray for my stroller and haven't been able to find one that would fit mine. It looks like they have one that might work.

We have a lands end diaper bag. The front zips open for cc, money, and a toggle to hold keys. It's a think the daytripper. We took it with us to Disney in Feb. and hung it off our jogging stoller.

We're going to disney next week for the first time. I have always carried a backpack with lots of pockets. This time, my kids are older, and I really want to take my dslr so I ordered a daypack. The bottom is padded for camera and the top is for my extras.

This backpack doesn't have all of the pockets that I'm used too so I am going to use ziplock bags. One for wallet, keys, etc.; one for sunscreen, chapstick, sanitizor; one for snacks and so on. I also thought this might make it easier when the bags are checked at the gate. I can pull out 3 ziplocks, open the bottom and be done.

I went with the 2 bag approach, too. It worked well. We went in January with DDs, 2 and 6.

I used a small bag for valuables that I kept on my person at all times. I used the Overland Equipment Placer. It can be worn like a purse or across the body, and I could even keep it on while eating. I love it and have used it 3 or 4 times since (on day outings as well as other vacations). Here it is at Zappos (great pics, but you can probably find it for less elsewhere)...

The second bag that we used was a Land's End Diaper Bag Backpack. Honestly, any bag that hangs on the back of a stroller will work. Backpacks hang on handles of an umbrella type stroller nicely, and the LE backpack has a lot of storage pockets for organization (but I kept forgetting what I put where). We left it on the stroller when we went to attractions. I haven't used it since, but I think that I will use it again for other vacations with children.
