bag for a teen boy to use

My teenaged son carries an UnderArmour cinch sak, but if he doesn't want something like that my daughter uses a Running Buddy pouch on her long runs. It's magnetic so it stays on your waistband and you can cover it with your shirt. It's not awfully big (she uses the XL), but just wanted to throw it out there.

I have a Running Buddy, it's great for a cell phone but nothing else would fit in with it, like a cell phone charger, so I think it would be a bit too small. Thanks for the suggestion

Is he a Star Wars fan? There's also this, if he is and doesn't like the string bag (I find them horribly uncomfortable, the strings cut in to the arms when they get any weight in them at all)
This is the smart phone version but there is also a slightly larger version too

I don't think so, but as of today, he said he wants one, so I will look and try to convince him that he doesn't need one
But having a drawstring backpack would come in handy in case he has other stuff such as a water bottle or purchases etc to put inside. Maybe im thinking more like a woman/mom....but you could never go wrong with a bag.

Hey i like that! Great idea! im gonna have to keep this in mind for my next trip.

My son uses that drawstring bag for everything. When he goes to the basketball courts, if he's hanging at the pool, if he's going to a friends house for a while and wants to take his charger, etc. I call it his "murse." (man purse) :rotfl:

He lives in joggers and basketball shorts so we can't use his pockets.

Yeah, mine too. He uses one a lot for riding his bike around town (plus the bonus is he can carry his junk food home from 7 Eleven, LOL!) Those floppy athletic shorts/pants pockets just aren't secure enough for a phone...his $150 deductible on a replacement phone taught him that lesson.

I think a small bag inside of his cargo shorts also, I will suggest it. We like to go bagless if possible, so I will encourage this idea. I hadn't even thought of putting the pins in something small inside his pockets.
We use the plastic travel boxes, for bars of soap, from the Dollar Store. One for earbuds, one for pins

You definitely can't trust those basketball shorts to keep a phone safe on some of the rides.

My other son wears lacrosse shorts all the time. If you don't know what they are picture gym shorts with bizzarre pictures of all sorts of cartoon type things holding a lacrosse stick all over them (a monkey holding a lacrosse stick/etc) and he insisted on wearing them one trip so I sewed velcro on the pockets so nothing would fall

out. https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1...7k1j0i7i30k1j0i13k1j0i13i5i30k1.0.-djDaHf0ClU

Yep-he's a weirdo!!! LOL

These are perfect! I’m buying several for gifts and one for myself (although mine will be a “walking” buddy). Thanks for sharing this!

I was picturing something like a velvet or nylon jewelry type bag. Something just big enough to hold 4-5 pins (assuming the number) but (1) provide an extra barrier in case a back falls off and (2) has a drawstring closure to keep everything from being loose and moving around. I mean, it won't look especially cool if he pulls it out :rotfl: . But it will get the job done.

Just have the kid put the pins he wants to trade in a ziplock bag. Then it'll be water proof if he takes the bag on water rides or if he gets caught in the rain.
