Bag check opening and restrooms

We will be visiting for our first trip in a week! Because we are expecting it to be busy, I have the following questions:

1. What time does back check open? We're staying at the Tropicana, so will be entering on the S. Harbor Blvd side. We'd like to get to the park gates about an hour prior to scheduled opening. What time should we plan to be at bag check?

2. Are there any restrooms nearby outside the park gates? I anticipate at least one of us will need to use the restroom while we wait!

Bag check should be open at least an hour before the parks open. There are bathrooms once you get inside security, look along the entrance gate walls.

Over Easter I was up early one morning and headed to STarbucks in DTD at 530a. Starbucks in DTD opens at 5am.

Restrooms once you get past security. The one near DCA is on the Harbor side. The one near DL is the downtown Disney side near the picnic area.
