Bad Swap Crafting Day

First I crack one of my Cricut mats in half and then after cutting bunch of toppers for Frontierland I realize that I spelled it incorrectly

What a waste or paper!!

I made a whole group of paper piecings for a swap on New Year's day all in the wrong colors.

I almost spelled Vacation wrong. Was missing an "a" the first two times I cut the word. Was going to use the negative, but not anymore.

Oh, and the last time I changed my blade in my Cricut, it stopped cutting all the way through. Even on the highest pressure & 6 depth, won't cut through normal cardstock. Have to go get new blades and see if that works. Right now I'm swapping the other blade housing between my little and big Cricuts.

So when I say I feel your pain, I really mean it.

I just kept staring at it because it didn't look right and suddenly it dawned on me, "I before E except after C" and I just shook my head

That is so hard. I hate it when I get something wrong and can't fix it. Generally for me I forget to set a line to fold line instead of cut line and it cuts library pockets and file folders in half.

I was having a very similar problem with my Cricut and I increased the cutting speed. So far that is working, but I have only cut out Tags.

When I goof up with my cricut it is with the size of letters. I cut out one set at 2 inches and then do something else (like cut out a tag) and forget what size I was set up at.

Just start fresh tomorrow and call it a day!!!
I know I had too..not for the cricut giving me fits.. instead it's the kids..and they were gone half the day..and come home w/in minutes were fighting..
I'm so glad tomorrow is FRIDAY and they go back to school on MONDAY this way mom can reclaim her sanity!!!

I feel your pain. I made these big Pooh's for the completed page swap only to realize that Pooh was a 6x6 page and not the 12x12........... So for the next swap guess who I will be doing??????

Can you rip up the pieces to make serendipity squares? Then maybe you won't feel everything is wasted (but I do feel your pain - been there, done that, had to completely replan a swap because I cut the paper the wrong way)

If you have 6 of them you could use them in the Paper piecing part of the surprise swap.

I think we have all had those days...

For 1 swap I was doing Tower of Terror...and in my mind I had the whole thing planned, went shopping for paper, started making paper piecings, got a few things cut...then realized that everything I was doing was Haunted Mansion... not Tower of Terror... Blonde moment for sure... I felt like a real idiot! My friend was when I was back buying more paper and I told her what I did...

Hope today is a better swap day!!
