Bad Stay at CR

Can’t wait to hear what the end result of this is. Hoping the OP is contacted by Disney and offered compensation. There were too many issues at this hotel for this to be acceptable.
Side note: It‘s amazing to me how people try to explain away these kinds of things, blaming previous guests, blaming OP for not getting a luggage receipt, etc. You know, sometimes it’s Disney’s fault when things are not right.

I guess at this point it's how much time and effort to put in. Knowing me, I would respond that a small refund isn't satisfactory and would like it to be escalated to a manager.

Have been to the CR one time prior a couple years ago right before the refurbished which was pretty good but just had a one night Garden View stay to hit up the Tron preview and it was bad. Some highlights:

-Unable to get in the room with App/Magic Bands thankfully a cast member was walking by and saw our struggle. Called down to lobby where they said they'd reset it but it never worked so had to walk back to the lobby and get a room key.
-Had stored luggage with bell services so could spend day at MK until room was ready. Apparently the guy who checked it in forgot to put tags on the bags so it took them a long time to find.
-There was apparently a work order on the shower in our room and maintenance came by to fix it around 5 pm. Told us we wouldn't be able to use shower for a few hours while the glue set. All DM wanted to do was shower that evening and she couldn't.
-The last fun bit was DM waking up around 3 to some rustling in the room. I sleep with headphones and white noise when I'm in hotel rooms so I didn't hear anything. We had stayed at the GF earlier in the week for 3 nights and I had so much trouble sleeping then she didn't want to turn on the lights or wake me. Eventually rustling stopped and she feel asleep for a little bit longer. When I woke up to get ready so we can hit up HS early she told me she was pretty sure there was a mouse in the room. Turns out she was right. A hole was chewed through the cinch bag I take to the parks that I had lying on the couch. I had an unopened cliff bar in it and the mouse chewed through that and proceeded to leave crumbs/wrapper bits/and turds on the clothes I laid out for the morning that were next to the bag. I like Mickey but don't like him leaving "presents" on my clothing. We ended up checking out a lot sooner than expected and swung by the front desk where the cast member just stared in disgust.

While I like the location of the resort and design of the rooms since the refurbishment definitely can't see myself staying there again.
After the shower incident, I would have politely asked for a different room. The mouse would have had me really upset b/c you are paying big $$$ and if you wanted a rat, you could have gone to see Rizzo at Muppetvision 3D.

Disney replied via email today gave a basic I'm sorry for your concerns message and offered a small refund.
You need to weigh the good and bad. Did you enjoy your time at WDW? Is it really worth escalating as some have suggested. You also had some responsibility in the issue by not asking for a different room after the shower problem and getting a manager involved. At least they offered something.
