Bad Service Lately At The Rose & Crown Bar

I have spent a weekend at Disney in Nov, Dec & Jan and have noticed that the service at the Rose & Crown bar has become terrible! It used to be fast & efficient. Now, you wait for ages just to get acknowledged. What's up with that?
The R&C restaurant service is still good.

That's too bad. I really enjoy the R&C restaurant and always intend to hang out at the bar for a while(never have though).

When we were last there--June '02--we noticed the same thing on our two-three stops. It was very rainy in June so we would pop by when it was pouring too hard to continue our trek at EPCOT. Even though the Rose & Crown wasn't crowded, we had a tough time getting service--in fact, we felt ignored and had to say "excuse me" to a bartender just to get service. Those behind the bar seemed more interested in entertaining each other or ogling the "young things" hanging around the bar. . .

On the other hand, our service in the restaurant was good--not great, but certainly acceptable.

My family and I enjoyed the fish there in Feb. 2001, but when we walked by the place in September 2002 there was a terrible fishy smell. But, the place seem to be busy.

We noticed it both in August and in October. We stood at the bar for almost 15 minutes before anyone ever acknowledged us. The barkeeps seemed to be chatting up some other people for quite awhile. Once we did get acknowledged, we did get our beer quickly, just not any type of Disney hospitality to go along with it. While we know that it was busy, a friendly nod wouldn't have hurt.

Exactly, not a nod or a glance for several minutes. They always take 2 or 3 people before me until I actually wave & say "Me next please!" I swear, I am very patient & polite always, but I felt really ignored.
Maybe we'll have better luck with the next batch of bartenders.
