Aside from not being able to get on the DIS...
I got a call from my father's company. I'd done an interview with them & felt really good about it. I tried not to get too excited about it just because things have been falling through left & right lately. Anyway, they called me to let me know that they hired someone else.
Then I was 8 minutes late to work because of traffic. The restuarant opens at 11am (when I was supposed to be there). My manager left a message on my voice mail at 11:02.
Anyway he said that he has someone coming in to cover my shift, so when that person shows up, he tells me & the opener that we're cut, after having waited on only 3 tables. I was furious, especially since people are coming in 10-15 mins late all the time & it's never been a big deal.
And finally my friends were supposed to have a get together at their place after work. Both got their shifts covered, weren't at home & didn't bother to leave me a message.
But today was better. I found out in mid July we're spending a few days in CA (*cough*DL*cough*
)
