Bad Counter Service

MK - I don't know about the food at Pinnochio House because we can't even stand the noise level or chaos of the place long enough to even look at the menu. We have avoided Pecos Bills for years but the last trip decided to try it. We ordered our burgers and turned to go to the toppings bar only to be told they were closing but offered us catchup packets. HELLO - why would you sell me the burger if I couldn't get all the stuff to go on it. So their burgers plain aren't very good.....

MGM - Pizza Planet, again noise level and unruly children made us turn and go out the door. This park needs more options for counter service.

EPCOT - Ate at the China Pavillion counter service and I was tremendously disappointed in the food. No better than frozen at the grocery. My husband was just back from a few weeks in China and thought he'd get a tastebud flashback - not! We were going to eat at Mexico but the lines were terrible - sounds like we MAY have been better off :confused3

What is the worst counter service in WDW. :confused3 I don't think there's anything on these boards about counter service to avoid.

The ABC Comm at the Studios is one counter service place that we will never eat at again.

I know I am in the minority on this one...we hate Pecos Bill's. On our most recent visit our burgers were dry and burned beyond recognition....hence the need for the topping bar! We waited forever for our food and the place was a zoo. On a lighter note, we always enjoy Cosmic Ray's. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

I'm with you on this one. I have never understood why it is one of the best loved CS places. We hated it. Oh well, to each his own. I on the other hand love Pinnochio's which often gets bashed on these boards.

Ive said it before but it is well worth repeating - Beaches and Cream.
This tops my list quite easily. The food was disgusting and the service awful . I have no desire to go back.

Cantina San Angel (Mexico) was absolutely inedible when we ate there a few years ago. We are experienced Mexican food eaters and eat it regularly in many forms and many different types of places (and live and work in an area that is heavily Mexican, including a vibrant Mexican community in our church). Cantina San Angel was terrible and gross food.

DW & I had dinner in "Mexico" while at WDW last year. The food was delicious and the cm's very friendly. I don't know how it was 3-5 yrs ago but only how things were when we dined. Like i said It was delicious. :goodvibes

MK - Pecos Bill is just really bad for us. Everytime we eat there one of us gets nasous for the entire day. We will never eat there again!

Epcot - American Pavilion is bad, and most of the CMs we have encountered there are just rude. We always do sit down meals in one of the contries when in Epcot now.

MGM - ABC Commisary. NEVER again!

AK - Believe it or not we have never eaten in AK yet! We will this trip, and hope to have no bad experiences. :rolleyes1

The breakfast was ok as long as you skipped the eggs, yuck, I hate eggs cooked in a vat! When in POFQ, stick with the beignets!

I hate eggs like that to.

Right after AK opened we had lunch at Pizzafaria, and it was pretty bad. This may of just been since it was new, but the crust tasted like cardboard.

I guess I've been fortunate to never had experienced bad counter service. I've experienced some "ok at best" stuff, but nothing horrible. I guess I have low expectations of theme park food. :teeth:

Though I don't think Cantina de San Angel is as good as El Pirata y El Perico, I didn't find it horrible either. My husband and I are Mexican cuisine connoisseurs and wasn't all too turned off by this. I wasn't expecting authentic Mexican for counter service, but was pleased not to receive "Taco Bell" stuff either. And I have extremely picky tastes when it comes to Mexican food as I'm Hispanic and grew up on this type of food. While it's not the best, I can't label it as the worst either. San Angel Inn is far better, though. :)

Also, food should be below 40 or above 140 degrees in temperature. I think that's what federal law is anyway.

My vote is Toy Story Pizza Planet. When we first walked in there my jaws dropped! There was trash all over the floor and it didn't smell the best. The food was absolutely horrible. The only reason I stayed was my DS5. Never will return!

From my experiences MGM is the worse with both Pizza planet--filthy and inedible as well as the ABC commisary--I really wish they'd get good CS food at MGM and maybe a character meal back again.
I have not enjoyed Peco's Bill at MK--dry overcooked burgers.
EPCOT I've never had anything bad, but I have only had China, and Moracco for take out--both have been very good, portions at Moracco are huge! Kids nachos from the CS cantina in Mexico didn't look very good!
Animal Kingdom-I've never had any problems with any of the food there, my favorite place for CS!
Had some really lousy Italian food at the food court thing at Coranado Springs.

I wish they had a character meal to.

I've had Pizza Planet before and thought it was alright, but that was seven years ago, so it may be worse now.

It's a shame, but it seems a lot of restaurants have gone downhill in quality, but they just keep getting more expensive.

Absolute worst for us was ABC Commissary at MGM in Dec 04. Threw the three meals we had ordered out. It was strange because we had a good experience there in April.

Also thought that the Fish and Chips from the CS at United Kingdom weren't very good.

No other truly bad experiences in two trips in 04. Love, love, love the Kringlas at Norway. Always had good food at the ASMo food court- favorite is Mickey waffle ice cream sundaes.
