Okay, I get the whole fascination with Tv Bad Boys, but that's only tv. I even get "some" of the real life fascinations. What I don't get is the women who are soooo infatuated with murderers. That just goes beyond the bad boy image.

Here is a link to a local case here in PA...the Hugo Selenski murder trial. He was just found not guilty yesterday on murder charges for killing, burying and burning the bodies in his backyard. Women have been going crazy over this dude. Sure he's hot, but he's a murderer. They have been going crazy wishing for this dude to get off on the murder charges...because he's HOT. :confused3 If he walks free, would these women reallyhook up with him? :confused3

One local radio station even changed the lyrics to the song "My Girl" to fit this story. In between the love lyrics for Hugo, they stuck in excerpts of women talking about him. I can't even tell you what they say because it's not DISappropriate. :rotfl:

That's nuts! I'll be the first to admit that when I was dating and not interested in finding a life partner, I was attracted to guys with a bit of an edge--not true "bad boys" but not quite your average blue blood society type either. :moped: :hippie:

Once I was ready to settle down and find "husband material", my taste changed.

You really have to wonder what makes some woman think "Look at the mugshot of that skanky murderer! Now there's the man for me!"

Once when I was bored, I googled my mother's name and got a hit on a young woman of the same name who was looking to date prisoners. She was a fairly attractive young woman, and I couldn't understand why she would purposely seek out losers, and dangerous losers at that. That's taking the bad boy thing too far. I think these people are really self-destructive. I wonder if the relationships last if the men are ever able to get out of prison?

(I don't like any bad boys in real life, but Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter is hot, even if he is a minion of Voldemort!)

I did a search on this guy's name and several links came up for blogs that women have set up for him. They were talking about it on the radio. The DJ said he went to his bank and most of the women that work in the bank were cheering for this guy to get off and going crazy over him. :confused3

I can't imagine going to bed at night and saying, Honey, now please don't kill me and bury me in the backyard tonight. :rotfl:

That kind of fascination is one of the reasons the divorce rate is so high.

So many complaining about their husband, then ultimately splitting, but when you look back you find the guy was always like that. They married the fascination, and in reality, divorced the same thing.

What's up with your avatar? :rotfl:

This guy killed "bad guys" though, right? Not fine, upstanding citizens? That could be how these women justify it.

I've used that line before. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Still, he killed people. When I listen to court TV sometimes I think...how on earth could people actually kill other people (other than ones threatening their own lives...etc) and be okay with it?

Even if I had to kill someone endangering my kids or my family I think I'd still be haunted with the memories of the task. That is one reason I don't watch all those sick psycho movies about mass murderers. Red Dragon....etc or movies like the one (can't remember the name) of being locked in a room and having to do horrible things (guessing from the trailer) like cutting your own leg off....etc.

I really do think that much of the new movie craze toward gore and gruesome stuff is desensitizing kids to the horrible things on the news.....it's awful :(

That's nuts! Good guys always finish last. I wonder if women who complain about being hurt by their boyfriends/husbands are with "bad boys."

'Saw'. 'Saw II' is out now too.

That film really shook me (not just me - people online and guys in Uni, who usually love horror, just found the entire thing too much).

I think that for some of these women, it's about the potential 'fame' that would come about from being associated with a notorious killer.
