Oh What a Beautiful Morning! but forgot to get a Wake Up Call!
Due to the fact that I do not drink and with three glasses of wine from the night before, I slept like a log! When I awoke I paniced! Oh No! We have ressies for 8:00! and I feel we are gonna be late! NOT! It's only 6:30! Darn that work! Body clock still on Work Mode! Well at least it's to our advantage!
It's now up and to the balcony! We must find out which animules have come to greet us this fine morning! It's the cattle and Zebras! Oh wait, the Giraffes have come for a visit this fine morning! Hey wait as second, my head, it's not giving me any side effects from the night before! Good Sign! Good Wine!
We proceed with our three S's and off to Epcot! DD does not want to do the princess thing but I quickly remind her that we will be at Epcot before the crowds and if she wants Mission Space! (I'm praying NOOOOOOOO!) We arrive without incident and the lines are huge for MS already! DD decides we will try later! I pretend to be disappointed but deep down am greatful! My fear of the unknown and that dreaded spinning feeling!
We head over to Norway were the crowd is gathering outside the door! We head into the little shop to look around. I am approached by a little girl who asks if she could trade with me? I agree but am puzzled but soon realize that I have DD's Green Lanyard on and the little girl assumes that I am a CM and am wearing a child's trading lanyard. What is really surprising is when I am approached by a Grown Up and asked! I feel special!
Just to let you all know, I had bought DD's Green Lanyard prior to Disney's coming up with the idea of a Green Lanyard for Kids' Only! Maybe a forshadowing of things to be!
We go back outside and await the opening of the Pavilion. The wait staff comes out and sings a welcoming song! Obviously they got into more wine than I did the night before!LOL They sounded pathetic! Luckily it was only them and not the rest of the morning! They open the doors by picking a princess for the morning and she gets to wear a costume and knocks on the door with her wand! Very Cute!
We are called to our seats and I am pleasantly surprised for a meal that is skillet style! We usually do buffets but this was a nice change. The food was delish and there was never a problem with getting more! We patiently await the princesses when I ask DD for the Autograph book! I thought you had it, no you took it! Oh well, neither one of us had it! But quick thinking on my part! I did remember to take the Summer Vacation Pin Hunt Boards! We had two, which we really did not need, so I used the one for the autographs! Well it is our Summer Vacation! The Princesses thought it was a good idea! Since Belle is the only Princess DD likes I had my pictures taken with the rest! Had to have proof we were there!
After breakfast, thought that we could still make a break for the rest of the World but it was still closed! Headed on back to Innoventions area which is DD's favourite! We sent some e-mails to friends and did a couple of games. When we got outside it was getting really, really hot! So, When in Epcot and Hot, head over to Ice Station! It was funny 'cause there is a CM standing outside warning people just how cold it was inside! Excuse me, but I'm from the Great White North! I can handle it!LOL It was a great comfort, first time I have not complained about the cold! I welcomed it! And of course you all know what is at the end of this! My Favourite part! Let's see how many people you can convince to try the Beverly!HAHAHAAHHAHA! This time it was only three! Wasn't that crowded but next time! DD scolded me! But we went thru once again and she had her try! Must have been a slow day for Epcot! I guess everybody was waiting to go on MS! It's getting hot outside and DD is getting cranky!
So we bale on Epcot and head over to MK! We also have a mission at MK but due to what has happened since our return will not go into details. We are both very sad for Scoop and his Family. We thank you for your generosity for making us Honorary Citizens' of the Magic Kingdom!
We don't spend much time there 'cause DD wants to do her thing and not do the rides I want and vice versa! Solution: Head back to AKL and go swimming! It's gonna be another late night due to Cirque therefore best if we relax until we head over to DTD!
It's another beautiful afternoon! So where's the rain we kept hearing about? Believe you me I am very greatful that it's not but just wondering all the same! After swimming we head over to DTD a little earlier because we skipped lunch and we were both getting hungry. We had PS's for Planet Hollywood at 6 but decided to try a little earlier. It was not a problem. We got to sit upstairs this time which was a nice switch. When we are handed the menus, I noticed that they were not the same? Where was the Thai Noodle Dish that I was so looking forward to having! The Dish that I had recommended >>^..^<< to have if she took her DD! OOPPS! Sorry I did not know that they had changed their menu. Ok, so now I have to peruse the entire menu to make up my mind. I stick with the steak and DD has a pasta dish! We both walk away full and neither one of us has room for desert! I tell the waitress to have it for herself later as it was included as part of our wishes! Before we go into DisneyQuest, I suggest to DD that we get our tickets first so that she can spend more time there! We go the the box office only to find that they don't have my tickets! So what else is knew! Lucky for me, being the ultimate pessimist this trip, I have our confirmation # etc., and therefore, do receive our tickets! Turns out the cm, who took the ressie mispelled my name!
As we are going to Cirque at 9:00, there is plenty of time, as DD points out to me, to spend a lot of time at DisneyQuest! While there I noticed a Lime Green Ribbon! Do I dare ask? It's my first sighting every since joining the DIS! I venture to make a fool out of myself and low and behold, it is a member of the Dis! It was nice meeting a fellow member! I won't mention her name as she informed me that she was taking her underaged children to that EVIL PLACE, Pleasure Island! I will save your identity so that you will not suffer the wrath of the other DIS'ers!
It's time to say goodbye to DD's Happy Place and head over to Cirque! We grab a drink and popcorn and go to our seats. As I look around, there seems to be no bad seat in the house! We settle in and let the show take us away! It is fantastic! DD does not even notice that it is 90 mins and no intermission! That alone is proof that the show is GREAT!
Since we did not have desert earlier and Ghireldi's did not have a line up all the way to MK, decided to check out what the attraction is! Well I'll tell you, the best, darn, ice cream! DD and I shared a Banana Split. YUMMY!
We walked around for a bit and then decided to head back to the Lodge!
