Backstage tours

oh - i found the updated schedule!!

as i thought - i did the aqua seas tour on saturday afternoon (right after the other tour).

it's listed on my schedule as 12:00 noon - bring a bathing suit. That's all i have on the schedule besides the confirmation #

and i see that i did the dolphins in depth on Wednesday morning - my last wednesday on my own (my mom and sister flew in on wednesday)..
the dolphins in depth was at 9:00 AM (bring a bathing suit)

Okay, thank you for checking. It doesn't necessarily matter what time it is, but it would be nice if we could fit it in on an early morning so it doesn't disrupt the day. Like on the morning of the day we've planned shopping. I still have an entire day without definite plans, but I think it would be nice to keep it open and maybe just go to a water park to relax a little.

I'll probably book it, I just need to make sure I still have a job first :( Good thing, I'll find out tomorrow, so hopefully it's going to be good news.

good luck!
since it was just me, i had the luxury of booking lots of tours...
on our last trip, it was 6 of us (DH, DD, DSIL, DS, DDIL and me) so we didn't do any tours at all because it would have been way too much money!!!

but i'll be there on my own again in october, so i'm going to try for the wild africa trek and maybe do the aqua seas again ...

there is no comparison to what goes on at typhoon lagoon - that's just a silly little nothing that's not even worth getting in line for....
in contrast, the aqua seas tour is worth every penny you pay for it..

Thats fair enough then....I have not done it I was just making a suggestion as an alternative option.

I personally would like to do the Aqua tour but as DH is not a keen on it I don't want to go on my own.

They are not comparable but I disagree about the Typhoon Lagoon experience been a silly little nothing. We found it to be great fun. You don't need to queue for a long time either if you have a good touring strategy. My DS loved this ages 8, 9 and 11.

he doesn't like to swim?
it was really a once in a lifetime experience (except if i do it again)...

i had a really good time on my own, but it would have been even more fun had the family been with me!!!

He had a bad experience as a kid (banged his head on the bottom of the pool) so he is not keen on very deep water and that tank would freak him out. I did not know this and we went to DC on honeymoon poor guy spent most of the time on the beach.

I think we are going to book one of the tours at the F&W so we can both enjoy that. There is a new VIP one that we are mega keen on so you can bet I will be on the phone on the 14th of Aug making sure I get that booked. Does anyone know what time that we here in the UK can do this. From memory with the ADRS its 12pm?

The segway would be good but he is over the weigh limit.

Do the phones open at 7 or 8?
If at 7, call at noon
If at 8, call at 1

What VIP tours?

Its the VIP tasting tour that they are offering for the first time at F&W, you get 5 food and 5 drink samples from different booths and a chef takes you round explaning all about the food etc. Its only done on a wednesday so it will be limited to a small number. This is what it says on all ears

'The two-hour Marketplace VIP Access Chef Tour begins at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, and includes five (pre-selected) dishes, five beverages (wine, beer and cocktails). Cost: $90 (plus tax and park admission)'

I think it was 7 that they opened or it was when I called about ADRs.
