Backstage Tours at Universal?

We did Keys to the Kingdom at Disney this May and had a great time. As a huge Universal (and especially Harry Potter!) fan, I was hoping Universal had something similar. The only thing I found on their website was the VIP tour which is way too expensive. Do you know of any other tours they do in the park?

We're going again in May and this time to celebrate my 30th birthday If there aren't any tours, can you suggest anything else different or special we can do at Universal (other than the parks of course!)?

VIP tours are the only type of tours i am aware of.

Thanks, that's what I thought! We've never eaten at CityWalk or the Universal Resorts, so maybe we'll do a nice dinner there for my bday.
