Sunscreen -- it lasts six hours -- put it on before you get to the park. You can get a small stick of sunscreen if you're particularly fair skinned -- it's the size of a fat chapstick.

But for those who don't like sunscreen sticks - it's not THAT inconvenient to bring a tube of sunblock lotion. (Don't buy the Costco/Price Club size!)

Water bottles and drinks. Use a water fountain -- it's easier than carrying a drink all day long.

Easier, yes. Tastier, no! I like my Brita water.

I think that you should bring WHATEVER you want as long as you are prepared to carry it! Travel light, travel heavy, whatever floats your boat - it's the happiest place on earth.
