Backpack Harnesses...are they hot to wear?

Hey all,

Posted this on another thread, but thought I should create my own. We are leaving in 10 days, and my youngest of 3 is EXTREMELY SPIRITED!! Stubborn, you name it. We did buy a backpack harness for him, it has yet to come in the mail. The one question I have about them is how hot do they get in the heat? I'm thinking in the Florida humidity, having that stuffed animal strapped to your back would make them hot and irritable. We bought one anyway (I think it might make him more willing to wear it) but I'm wondering if just the regular harness w/o the backpack would be cooler. Thoughts?

My son found it to be hot. But all of us in my little family get really hot easily, so a less sweaty person it might be OK. And ultimately the harness didn't work with my dude anyway (sigh) so we never got to use it anywhere that was actually HOT.

My little girl loves hers and begs to wear it EVERYWHERE, I don't think that it would be too hot. But you never know until you try. Good luck and have fun!!
